Programs in African studies \u2013 also known as Africana studies \u2013 offer students an opportunity to study the continent\u2019s histories, cultures, geographies, politics, and economics, and to learn about the aid, trade and investment, and migration flows that link Africa to the rest of the world in the era of globalization.
